It means he's a dog. Dogs' noses are usually wet, unless they are sick, dehydrated or sleeping because they constantly lick their noses to collect scent particles from the air with the moisture.
If it's more cold than normal, he could be a little chilly or just stuck his nose somewhere cold. My dogs' noses are almost always cold and wet after coming inside from the backyard
My dogs noses are also wet after drinking and then using my lap as a napkin.... they seem to get a kick out of my grossed out reaction.

It means healthy. I know that when a dog's nose is dry it is not good, dehydration, maybe? Nothing at all to worry about if it is cold and wet. Just so long as it isn't excessively running, that may indicate a cold.

Couldn't ask for more, if the nose is warm and dry you should be concerned, cold and a little wet is perfect.

I think it's normal.....wet is good, cold...did they just go out....it should be cool, not too cold...if nose is dripping wet, maybe sick, but little wet...normal! Good Luck!

its a very good sign. if your dogs nose is the opposite [dry, warm nose] then you have a problem and should get it to the vet.
