Yes. Christians help without asking the religion of the person to help. Muslims do help also without asking the religion of the person.
In most cases, however, Christians would like to help Christians and same with the Muslims giving preference to help Muslims.
It is however not trying to convert one to his own religion.

I suppose you want us to throw the food at them angrily and say "here, eat the da&ned stuff and f*&k you!!!"
The only way we know to help people is to show them Love. We feed the hungry, we clothe the naked, we help the destitute to rise up. It's called Love.
And on occasion, people pick up on our Love and want to know more about it. We don't "coerce" them into conversion, but if they want to know more, how can we not share the good news? My advice is you should stop watching TBN and find out about some real missionary work done in Christs name.
May I also add that the last time I helped someone was at Denny's the other day when a "bum" couldn't pay for his coffee and I bought him a meal. He didn't know who paid for it, never heard me preach a word .... but he did know that someone cared. So my answer is yeah, we can help the needy and destitute, and we often do so without even mentioning God's name :)

Yes actually most do operate exactly that way , by addressing the person's needs and not their ideology. I was homeless for over 3 years and only a few times did i meet the folks who thought they must preach at us before or instead of helping us. One shelter was really bad because the director was a very militant evangelical and I have a tattoo of the Virgin Mary. But very often the different churches work together to help the poor. Churches also frequently work with secular organizations and non-Christian faiths to serve the needs of the poor. It is only a few extremists that exploit poverty to apply pressure to convert. Most people have compassion and understand how wrong that is> Peace be with you

Yes, of course. I grew up in a refugee camp, and lots of volunteers were Christians. They would come and give out water or try to tell us how to keap sanitary conditions.
(They were kind of naive. We crapped in the corner because the water had been turned off for months, the toilet was full, and their were psychotic soldiers outside waiting to shoot someone; not because we didn't know it was unsanitary)
In my memory none tried to convert us. I think one gave me a New Testament, but I had asked for it.
Hamas also gave us stuff, and they did try to convert us into being better muslims. They gave more stuff, and had way more volunteer doctors and teachers.
BTW, what's the problem if they do try to convert people? As long as the person can say no thank you when asked about switching religions, and recieve the same care, it's just exchanging ideas. Nothing wrong with exchanging ideas.

yes Christians do it all the time. People should help the needy not just Christians. I believe that Christians should live by example. Many people don't give just to give they have an alternative motive. I give to charity. I try and give at least ten percent of my income to charity but sometimes it is hard. I don't expect anything in return. I don't try and convert people. I will tell someone about Christianity if they ask. Many people are turned off by people trying to convert them.

Well there is no coercing the word of God. It's either accepted or denied. You cannot coerce someone to believe.
It wouldn't mean anything.
Christians have a good heart and really don't want anyone to go to hell. That is the main objective.
The good news is that Sinners have been saved.
Not that they've been dammed.
We merely want to show that to people. Rich, poor, color, nationality, whatever! It's a major part of who we are.
Nothing is wrong with that!

That's a good question.
The answer is yes, and we do it all the time. Christians volunteer at food banks, homeless shelters, and other places all the time without handing out tracts or confronting them about their spirituality. But there are a lot of times where our goal is to ask them about their beliefs and to win them to Christ. Nobody is coercing anybody. People have the free will to listen or not listen.

NOT if they are going to follow CHRIST's Commands given prior to HIS Ascension in the Great Commission. This is found in Matthew 28:16-20. Have a great day.
Thanks,

Many saved people help the needy without asking anything for it. We do not force religion down their throats either.

*sigh*. No, they can't. I truly believe that. Because the prevelance of christianity is great so most of the needy/destitute are 3rd world / non-christian. They believe they are 'saving' them and returning them to 'god'.
