I lost my dad recently - unexpectedly. It is a most difficult and painful experience. More painful however is the thought that I dont know what happens. Where is he now? Re-incarnated? In heavan? Does anyone know what happens when you die?

When you die, you cease to breath, then you will be buried or be burned to ashes so that your body will returned to dust where we came from.
Your soul be then under the care of God until the final judgment when Jesus will come to judge us. You will have eternal life in heaven with God if found out that your sins were forgiven by God and if not, you will suffer penalty to the lake of fire forever. When this will happen, it will be the end of the world and say good bye to earth.

Sorry to hear about your loss Athma, I am a Wiccan, so my beliefs are different to the above Christians, who can't think for themselves.. They go to their e-Bible, cut and paste scripture, that nobody wants to read anyway.. That's not answering a question... I do not speak for Wiccan's here, as the belief system is varied, but at least we can think for ourselves.. I believe your Father has gone home to The Summerlands, the ancient Greeks called this place Hyperborea.. It is a place where the sun shines all the time, your Dad has his own space, his own private part of The Summerlands.. Everything you have ever owned, loved and lost, it's all there.. Every pet you have had, and the people who have passed on before you are there also, if they have not been reincarnated yet.. Your Father may have lived many times before as most of us have and we tend to live each life with the same people, just in a different role..Your father will be added to the pool of souls that are awaiting rebirth.. At the right Karmic time he will be reborn to parents of his own choosing..Then the cycle will start all over again, as we have many lessons to learn and many tasks to preform incarnate..You will see your Father again many times over, but you will not remember him as your Father as that was the role he played this time..Your energies will remain connected, no matter which role either of you play in the next life /s... When we have learned all our lessons we will blend somehow with the Universe, as a higher form of consciousness..This is the way of the Universe... Love and Light.. Blessed Be.. )O(

Dear Athma,
I'm sorry for your loss.

What I hope and believe is that life goes on and on.

In fact I'm certain that after we die, something wonderful will happen to us. So if at all possible, try not to be too sad. Get a good book to lift you up. Maybe a book on angels would help? By Doreen Virtue, for example. Or there's another excellent one I just though of: "Home with God in a life that never ends" by Neale Donald Walsh. These will clear all your troubles and you'll know that your Dad is in a safe place.

Love and Light
Kat

There is no end. We continue to change while we are on earth and after we leave this earth. I know that you feel the great pain of your Dad's loss to you and I also feel your love for him coming through your words. I can not determine from your message whether your Dad was pursuing a spiritual path at the time of his passing. If he was you can trust that he is with those who love him and will provide further spiritual guidance. If you are on the spiritual path then I would urge you to have complete trust that the Holy Spirit (John 14; 1 Corinthians 2:10-16) will show you the correct path which will result in reunion with your Dad and all of those who you love and who love you.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 says that the dead are not conscious of anything. So, your father is at rest, asleep until the fulfillment of John 5: 28 & 29 takes place. He will have the opportunity to live again.

I am very sorry for your loss. Please remember that God can help you through all your trials. In fact, he wants to help. James 4:8.

when I die, others will nevertheless be alive getting on with their lives. in step with possibility i might opt to think of a few might mourn my death, yet it truly is predicated upon what I did in life. when I die, I would be not greater, so I in simple terms isn't wakeful and subsequently I in simple terms isn't in a position to comprehend what takes place following my dying. So there is not any factor stressful approximately it.

I am truly sorry for your lose.

I personally believe that your spirit form goes on to a better place where there is no pain, sadness, starvation, etc. The people we love watch over us from where ever they are.

My minister told me when my son passed away that we are all here on a kinda of loan. We are placed here for a purpose and to touch someones life that will make a difference. He said that once we have completed our tasks and touched the one life we were meant to touch that we go home to our spiritual father.

I found little comfort in that at the time, but, as time passes, and please note I still miss my son terribly, I find that thought keeps me with hope in my heart that someday I will again see my son in a happier better place.

I hope this story helps you. Remember your dad still lives in you and even though there may be days you question weather or not you can even remember his face, his voice, that is all part of the healing and he still lives as long as you keep him in your memories.

After Solomon observed that the living know that they will die, he wrote: “As for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” He then enlarged on that basic truth by saying that the dead can neither love nor hate and that “there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in [the grave].” (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10) Similarly, Psalm 146:4 says that when a man dies, “his thoughts do perish.” We are mortal and do not survive the death of our body. The life we enjoy is like the flame of a candle. When the flame is put out, it does not go anywhere. It is simply gone.

Jesus Christ spoke about the condition of the dead. He did so with regard to Lazarus, a man whom he knew well and who had died. Jesus told his disciples: “Lazarus our friend has gone to rest.” The disciples thought that Jesus meant that Lazarus was resting in sleep, recovering from an illness. They were wrong. Jesus explained: “Lazarus has died.” (John 11:11-14) Notice that Jesus compared death to rest and sleep. Lazarus was neither in heaven nor in a burning hell. He was not meeting angels or ancestors. Lazarus was not being reborn as another human. He was at rest in death, as though in a deep sleep without dreams. Other scriptures also compare death to sleep. For example, when the disciple Stephen was stoned to death, the Bible says that he “fell asleep.” (Acts 7:60) Similarly, the apostle Paul wrote about some in his day who had “fallen asleep” in death.—1 Corinthians 15:6.

Was it God’s original purpose for people to die? Not at all! Jehovah made man to live forever on earth. As we learned earlier in this book, God placed the first human couple in a delightful paradise. He blessed them with perfect health. Jehovah wanted only good for them. Does any loving parent want his children to suffer the pain of old age and death? Of course not! Jehovah loved his children and wanted them to enjoy endless happiness on earth. Concerning humans, the Bible says: “Time indefinite [Jehovah] has put in their heart.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11) God created us with the desire to live forever. And he has opened the way for that desire to be fulfilled.

Jesus said that “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus’] voice and come out.” (John 5:28, 29) Similarly, Revelation 20:13 says: “The sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Hades gave up those dead in them.” “Hades” refers to the common grave of mankind.
This collective grave will be emptied. All those billions who rest there will live again. The apostle Paul said: “There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15)

My heartfelt condolences to you for your loss. I lost my father 2 years ago and I went through the same phase and asked the same questions. I do not know where you are from but if you can get a copy of Bhavnagari"s books "The laws of spirit world" you will feel calmed. You may or may not believe what is in it but I found them comforting...
