My fiance is planning on attending Ross University in the fall. I would LOVE to go with him, but I am very worried about finding a job down there. I have looked at soooooo many sites, but there are really no job listings. Does anybody have any first hand experience with this? I do not have a specific job in mind (or a degree for that matter), I just need something that will pay the bills. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks!

Hey Im from D/ca ....and it is difficult to get a job especially something you like because of the way the economy is.But if you are person with a lot of drive with or without a degree you will definately get a job atleast when you arrive and ask around.Asking around for a job wont be a problem because the people of Dominica are very helpful and the island is pretty small so everyone practically knows each other...good luck! You will absolutly love the place...

I am concern of your mention of not having a degree as this can be a disadvantage to your part,as most jobs that will go online are mainly for management positions, however you may still have a chance,as jobs may be available in the tourism industry, but your gonna have to be prepared to adapt.
Remember Dominica is mainly an agriculture base economy even though Eco-tourism is taking hold of the countries major foreign exchange income, there is also manufacturing and retailing, some time ago there was a major economic factor which caused the Gov,of the time had to do major restructuring, however you wont have to worry about there dollar as they share one single currency(EC dallor) with the other English speaking countries of the eastern caribbean states,in the leeward and windward antillies,of the lesser antillies islands.
