Okay I adore the name Ethan and alway have. I wanted Ethan Emery but thats a movie stars name and I love Ethan Joseph but it has too many letters, I hate when a middle name is longer than the first. Do you know any middle names for Ethan ? 5 letters or less please!

You make it so hard by limiting me to 5 letters or less. I read somewhere when naming my children that a middle name that had one more letter grouping for the sounds than the first name tends to roll off the tongue better so sounds more natural. They also recommended to step out on the back porch & yell the name(s) three times to be sure.(This was also recommended for pets names)Since you will be calling your children's names out loud for their whole lives.
My personal thoughts were Ethan Michael or Ethan Douglas. Guess you could shorten these to Mike & Doug but it just does not have the same effect. Pretend your child has done something unacceptable, Most parents reserve the use of the middle name with the 1st name for situations when they are being scolded to REALLY get their attention. ETHAN LEVI!!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!!!!
The best sounding short name I can think of is Ethan Scott.
Just stay away from Ethan Allen & Ethan Hawk.
Remember kids are mean & will tease for ANYTHING if they can find nothing else wrong with the kid they will pick on his name if it is at all different.

First of all, I have to say that I love the name Ethan. ( Iam a little biased though, because it is my son's name) lol. My son is Ethan James. I don't know, you may think that is a little bland. But it is 5 letters :) No matter what you have as a middle name people will call him Ethan Allen thinking that they are funny. lol. Good Luck and congratulations !
