Maybe you have a little bit of obsessive compulsive disorder, maybe some light counselling work can help you control those thoughts of "it has to be done this way" or " i have to walk the exact way home and turn around if u did it wrong and start over until u walk home the exact way" Challenge some of these thoughts work through them u will not be harmed if u do things differently to what ur brains telling you. So try counselling and maybe some calmative medication.

Your brain has created a schema for walking home and so you find it hard to break this as your brain has lost the ability to remember any other way and if you can then it is a strange way and may leave you feeling vulnerable. Try walking home with a friend as this will make you feel more confident. As long as this doesn't affect your life you have nothing to worry about.

Sounds like OCD. You have developed a habit and now it has stuck. Research Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, it will help you install new habits to overcome this.

you may have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) i have it and it sounds the same.

talk to a doctor and try and get it sorted, councelling or even just trying to walk the wrong way home, that's how i try and control it and it does work.

It sounds like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and doesn't seem too severe, but you may wish to mention it to your doctor.

You need to go talk to a doctor & see what's causing you to feel this way. You don't want to get any worse.
