If the landrover was made before 2006 then it will be in Tax Band F and will cost you £200 this year and £205 next year. If it was made AFTER 2006 then it falls into the new F category where you'll pay £300 this year and £400 next. http://www.whatprice.co.uk/car/car-tax.html has all the details, you can even search for your car and see its emission levels...

It depends on the model, version and age of the LandRover.
The new £300 rate applies only to cars (including, but not restricted to, 4x4s) first registered on or after 23rd March 2006 with official CO2 emissions of more than 225g/km.

I do think there should be some relief for genuine users of a Land Rover (or similar vehicles) for agricultural purposes
I admit to having a Jaguar X Sovereign (my pride and joy - I always wanted to be Morse!) and accept the higher duty in my case - but not all farmers are rich!
