my kitten fell in a very hot bath, and got burnt.
his little ears was very swollen, but its gone down now, but the ends have gone all hard.
he is a siamese, will the ends fall off, or will it heal? will he lose the shape of his ears?
it didnt blister or peel or bleed.
anybody who had seen the after effects of burns to cat's ears.
and before you start barraging me with insults about animal care, i was there when it happened. it was an accident.

the Harding of the tips of the ear are what is called full thickness burns, these will not peel or blister, this is most likely will fall off due to the lack of blood flow through them, the problem would be infection she may need to be put on antibiotics and you can talk to your vet about having the damage part of the ear surgically removed this will allow for quicker healing

it may be an accident but you really need to take the cat to the vet! if you fell in really hot water and got badly burned you would go to the hospital, you would want pain killers!!! that would be my first priority! the poor little sole is probably been in so much pain, a small burn just on the finger hurts bad enough with out falling into hot water and getting burnt all over.. if his ears are hard then it must of been pretty darn hot, sounds as though they got cooked? All i know is you need to take him to the vet ASAP!!!!!

Take her to a vet, infection will set in and it won't be long before you will be burying this beautiful little animal. Yes, cats/kittens are curious, but very sure-footed. I think that will be the last time this cat will be curious about standing water!

You absolutely must take this kitten to the vet. Burns are very painful and easily infected. Your vet is the best person to answer these questions and offer medical solutions.

You should really take the cat to the Vet to be sure the burns aren't infected.

Only a Vet will be able to tell you for sure just what the long to effect on your cat will be.

Good luck, I hope all is well with kitty.
