Here is a web site with a body mass index for weight verses height but I wouldn't worry about a little kid as long as you are giving him or her healthy snacks and not just feeding him or her fast food only you are doing a great job. Congratulation and Keep up the good work.....

My son is 18 months and he weighs 10 kilo's, that is a perfect weight, he is 80 centimeters tall. It depends on how long your child is. You can weigh him once at the doctor and ask him. Every child is different, meaning that there is a range of weights which is normal. When you look at your child you can also see if (s)he is overweight.

they usually like to see a child triple thier birth weight by 12 months.. if you are concerned with your child's weight talk to your pediatrician, if your child is underweight there are supplements that can help, and unless the child is very overweight they don't worry about a little excess weight at this stage.
