is it good to eat potatoes when trying to lose weight? i go to the gym every day and have lost a bit of weight, i eat healthily but i find i eat alot of baked potatoes, is it better to have this or would i lose more weight by having something like soup?

you have to count calories you eat. if patotoes fit in -go ahead and eat them. just remember about portion control - too much is never good.

no it is not good to eat potatoes when losing weight. i needed to lose weight, and the first thing i cut out were bread and potatoes. i lost 5 pounds the first month. i cut out a lot of pasta too, that helped also. i substituted more vegetables, instead of potatos, and if i wanted a potato, i would pick a sweet potatoe, or yam once in a while.

potatoes are no good for u.They are a starch wich doesnt help or too much doesnt help for losing wiehgt if u really want to have potatoes then have 1 only but have it for lunch never for dinner that way u can burn it off in tha afternoon but if u have it for dinner it just stays in ur tummy.Same as corn honey corn and pastas well really any starches try not to have them for dinner have them for lunch if u really want them.

potatoes have a lot of starch in them.. and is harder for your body to break down...

so maybe cut down on the baked potatoes...

eat normal, but stay away from high cal, sugar, fat and corbohydrated foods.

potatoes are starch. starch is sugar. eat potatoes and penut butter to gain waight.
