I have been in a self imposed isolation from relations for past 7years now. It was not that i did not wanted one, but the fear of pain of separation and betrayal overshadowed the prospect of being emotionaly attached.
Now i am desperate to have someone in life, as i find myself in a big emotional void.
What do you suggest, Is emotional isolation just a term, or shall i be bold enough to prepare for another heartbreak and just enter a relationship?

"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind..." - John Donne

I would say that you should try and go for a relationship. heartbreak is a possibility but long term isolation isn't much better in the long run. Realize that if you get out there you will find "the one" eventually - if you don't chances are they will not appear on your doorstep.

start of easy and ease your way onto the dating scene - good luck!

I understand. It can get tiring being an "island".
Send that message out in a bottle. :)
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Right?
Good luck. I hope your heart finds what it is looking for.
