In other parts of the world, this is how a rogue leader is handled. My question is semi-facetious. But Bush is acting crazy. Even Nixon and Xlinton have appeared under subpoena. He is acting as if he is the first person ever to be president, and that he's not just the decider... he's God.

God, no! Don't even suggest that. I currently serve and am comforted by the civilian control (by way of the Commander in Chief and Congressional oversight) of the military. We serve the United States, we don't run it nor should we.

I hope I didn't mistakenly give you the impression that I believe the military is accountable to the American people directly. We are accountable to the elected civilian leadership. The people and the media ought to keep their noses out of things they don't understand if they're not willing to try to understand us. They must trust in their president and congressional representatives to watch us.

There is no chance of a military junta. Just as there is no 'lawlessness' from the President.

In fact I spent 26 years in the military making sure that the US Constitution was safe from people like you.

I am in the Army and I think you are mistaken. Most the guys I work with are pissed about the Democrats obstructionist policies. If you were to see a military junta, it would be to bring the liberals under control.

Kinda spooky. You feel the President is somehow lawless, therefore the appropriate solution is the most lawless undemocratic government possible? Pardon me while I go look for the constitution and a helmet.

I thought this was supposed to be a Q&A site, but so many people are posting political statements with a question mark after it.
