help me lose weight? I am also cutting down on my calories to 1600 in a day. Will this do the trick? I go on the exercise bike and work up a good sweat.

I am exercising most days on the bike say 5 days a week.

Thanks everyone! I can't eat too much fruit because I suffer from Acid Reflux so I have to be very careful with fruits but I'll try and add some weights into my exercise routine as well and go walking! Sounds great to me.

You are doing the right thing! 30 minutes of vigorous exercises 5 days a week, while limiting your calorie intake, should result in slow, but sure, gradual weight loss. The longer you maintain an exercise regime the more you will enjoy it.

Keep up the good work, you will feel and look better, loose some weight and may live longer too!

yes, that is a good start to aiding the process of losing weight. For exercising you can do other stuff like aerobics, swimming, yoga, etc. As for the amount of calories you are consuming, try eating smaller portions throughout the day and eat more whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.

30 minutes a day with influence your metobolism a lot once your body gets used to it. Eat a lot of fruit and when you wake in the morning have a cooled boiled cup of water with a squeeze of lemon in, this will flush out your bowels and leave you energised, eat a piece of first first thing in the morning, then 30 min later have a healthy breakfast - this should set you up for the day, trust me I know you hear a lot of things but I do it and Im a healthy size 10 and my son is only 3 months old! Please just try it. Any excersise is good for you. I dont bother counting calories just eat a balanced diet. Good luck, I hope you try theese out!

Experts say that 30 minutes of exercise a day is perfect.

1600 calories is really very little though. Careful your body doesn't go into that mode where it conserves every calorie because it thinks you're starving. That can be very annoying!

I think that will help, 30min three times a week. If you are just starting a workout plan that is good, then you could increase later if you feel the need and after you get into the plan... My mistake I always make is going into something too hard and giving up quickly, keep at it! And stay away from any processed calories you can, they are the worst!

yes that is good for the cardio in your work out but you need to do other exercises not only one you can go on runs workout with weights and other stuff like that.
because it is good to mix up your exercises for a full body work out not only your legs and burn calories. you need to work on your arms stomach,stuff like that just try to mix it up. you also don't wont to work out in the same room every day.
exercise 5 times a week for 30-60 mins

Yes it will. Despite all the fads good old fashioned diet and exercise is the only guarenteed way to lose weight

Yes it will help but I would also suggest adding in a weight lifting routine, even a quick 30 minute one.

they have several body weight exercise routines, so you don't even need to buy any equipment.
