Simply concentrate on what YOU want in stead of worrying about what others think. Comparison is useless and look at how much time and mental energy is spent if that's a priority. It's been said that "people who mind their own business succeed because they have so little competition". Comparisons is the death of truth self-contentment. We gain pride and respect in ourselves by achievences alone, not intentions, and we can't put forth the right effort looking for approval or applause from others. Decide what you want to do and then take the steps to do it. It's as easy as that. You'll be surprised by how you feel about yourself by simply doing what you know you should be doing. Take care!

Exercise: it boosts the release of endorphines, which are the "happy" hormones in your body, and you get into shape, and people will compliment you on your new bod.
If you're a female, put on a little makeup - it always makes me feel better about the way I look.
If you're a male, well, go buy some new clothes or get a new haircut or something. Or when you exercise, work on your arms and chest muscles.

Study other people who seem confidence. How do they walk, talk? Copy. Train in front of the mirror. Fake it until you make it. Even the most confident people have their insecure sides. They've just learned not to show it.
