People management is really not that easy. You can improve people management by managing them to achieve their own goals at your expense but at the same time getting a surplus out of their costs.

Ok...let's take yourself as an example..would you like to be ordered around?..pushed around?...No right? Humans by nature especially stubborn ones hate being told what to do. It's pride! We're too full of them. WE hate doing things we don't wanna do too. So I take it from this quote or line that to manage people you have to make them think they like what they're doing. You have to manipulate it in such a way that they would want to do whatever you want them to do. That way it would be easy to "manage" them!

it's not really true.
it does take skill in managing ppl, but it's not difficult if you've got tact.
