generally not if you are requesting something that is not essential to your health. Things such as special diets or disabled facilities get special treatment.

Everyone asks for sea views etc so it is just the luck of the draw.

They always make it clear that they cannot guarantee to meet your requests.

If you want special rooms you will get them by arranging your own holiday, book direct with the hotel and pay a bit extra for a superior room. Book your own filghts - save yourself loads of money. Tour operators just book blocks of the cheapest rooms.

You are also paying for couriers you don't need, glossy brochures, Travel Agents commission, TV advertising, etc. etc.

Im not a travel agent but from a past experience I didnt get what I asked for, just be patient when you get there, they are usually pretty good at sorting things like that out.

ok i used to be a travel agent, you can get it if you contact the hotel directly, personally i would do it myself rather then through the agent as it may go through a few people before it gets to the hotel and then not likely get there.

travel agent to main office to main office inbound to local office inbound to hotel. See to many people contact hotel yourself with the dates you will arrive and they will help you as best as possible (unless its In France and they will not give a monkeys)
