Gather the info you have about the case and go to the local police station and file a case for fraud. They will proceed fron there. If you need a lawyer to recover damages you can hire one after the fraud verdict is returned; good chance restitution and fees will be included in a guilty verdict

I would stop using the word "friend" because anyone doing that is NOT a friend. Yes, identity theft is a crime and should be followed up on. The first thing is to check with the credit reporting agencies: Experian, Equifax and TransUnion to make sure you are only talking about ONE loan and not several. Your local police department should be able to help you report the crime(s) and offer assistance on proceeding. If you don't do anything about it you are in essence agreeing to the loan so get busy on clearing your liability... TODAY.

Yes you can its called fraud you file charges on this person they can even serve time

HELL YA, GET A LAYER AND SUE FOR FRAUD UNLESS YOU APPROVED OF THIS THEN THE TWO OF YOU SHOULD GO TO JAIL. IT'S YOUR CREDIT .WAKE UP
