Can anyone give me info on Ellijay, GA? population, location, any info would help.

As you take I-575 north, it turns into Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway. It is a fairly major road. When you are about 60 miles south of North Carolina, you will hit Ellijay. It is about 1.5 hours north of the city with decent traffic. It is a very small town. The person above quoted a population that is probably right. You hit a few traffic lights going through the city limits, and it is gone. Recently they built a new shopping center, so there are a few places to get the necessities without traveling to the city. They are really known for their Apples, it is apple country of Georgia. Quaint town, mostly country people. Perfect for you if that is what you want...
