Orange was the color adopted by the Gush Katif bloc in their last ditch efforts to avert the disengagement, including orange t-shirts and bumper stickers. On top of that, "Orange" is the most popular cell phone carrier company (along with Cellcom and Pelephone). Their t-shirts and apparel logo is a black background with an orange square, so perhaps that is what you saw so often.

Orange T-shirts are popular in Israel? Didn't notice...

The color orange got a new meaning in Israel two years ago as the symbolic color of the opposers of the disengagement plan.

not sure where you come up with orange being something for israel (not spelled isreal). colors of the country and blue and white. And not everyone in Israel is jewish. Don't believe jewish people in the USA, for example, have any significance to the color orange.
