I think the implications of the Whistleblower programme is that the problems (mis-selling, fraud, over-charging, poor service, etc.) found in Braclays Bank is widespread in the UK banking industry, although Barclays is probably among the worst (do the Dutch know what they are in for if they merged ABN Ambro with Barclays?). What is also worrying is how such big companies are corrupting the morals of society. Good people join them only to find that under increasing pressure and intimidation and bullying, they are pushed into lying, callousness, and eventually, fraud. Nor are private corporations the only culprits. Public organisations by setting unrealistic targets have also been putting pressure on their staff, and managers have been known to massage figures in order to meet them. And witness the spread of plagiarism and cheating among our young students today. Ultimately, the govt, by its 'disingenuous' behaviour (Lord Butler), has led us down this path to a Rip-Off nation. We will all have to check our bank statements, till receipts, etc. even more carefully.

I pressume this topic originally started about the TV show on Barclays last night? "The Whistleblower"

My partner has an account with Barclays & never checks his account. He always has an idea as to how much money he has in there though but on several occasions he has been wayy off & there's been much less. He really needs to be more attentive to his statements because they seem like such a BAD bank to be with.

The programme last night was quite shocking & my partner is now closing his bank account with them as they are just wayy too dodgy & untrustworthy.

Glad to hear you will be getting your money back!

I even have banked with Barclays for extra or less two decades now and this is because of fact i'm too lazy to alter to a distinctive financial employer-you hit the nail on the top. strategies you i've got have been given to be uncomplicated - I even have in no way had any problems with them yet neither have I given them any issues. and that i additionally like the colour of my new debit card. that's an particularly attractive turquoise shade this time.
