Gays may be unpopular amongst some sections of society, but they aren't a disadvantaged minority, since on average they are better educated, have better jobs, and earn more money than the rest of society. So I don't see how promoting gay/lesbian groups qualifies as charity.

Of course, God doesn't need to thank anyone anyway, he created us, we're the ones who need to do the thanking.

I'm sorry, I believe homosexuality is immoral and unsafe (in the Bible; Romans 1). In the mean time, it is good that you try to help people, and God loves everyone, that's why he sent Jesus to die for everyone's sins and then Jesus rose again. I don't get what all the haha's are for from the answerer above, but I'm not laughing at you. Some people hate everyone and are racist towards many different groups of people. I'm not one of those people. I disagree with the homosexual lifestyle, but I still care about the people, I hope that makes since. God bless.

i believe in God. the God that i believe in is accepting of all his children. gays and lesbians are his children too. i have no problem with gays or lesbians, i actually hope that gay marriage is legalized and that they can one day be open about their sexuality and not worry about being persecuted by their peers.
yes, i believe that God would be proud of you for helping out your fellow man (or woman) work toward a more accepting society.

Since GOD said that homosexuality is an abomination I certainly doubt that HE is going to give you any brownie points for promoting it in any way. HE still has openings in HIS CHURCH for those who want to follow HIS SON. Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
1. HEAR - Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
2. BELIEVE - In Mark 16:16, Jesus said “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”
3. REPENT - Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.
4. CONFESS CHRIST - 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
5. BE BAPTIZED - Romans 6:3-4 do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
6. CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL - Jesus said in Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

I don't believe in God. But I think if anybody does any kind of good then it should be praised. It's really just the prejudiced human race that will have any trouble with your actions. Best to ignore them and get on with it.

one of the comandments is love one another. there where no qualifiers one that. there was no except gays or lesbians or anyone else.
in the end you are accountable to god for your actions but you should do then not to be thanked you do them because it's the right thing to do.

I think Gay issues have been promoted too much. I believe in tolerance, but boundaries should be respected. I predict a violent anti-gay backlash.

Yes God is love, and helping others is probally the best way we can spend our time on earth, love is love and its good to love we cannot help who we fall in love with, because it is God who brings people together we are all heaven sent. The only thing that hurts God is when people tell lies on his behalf and are cruel to others saying they are guided by him.

Why would HE thank you for what HE calls abominable? HIS word clearly states it is an abomination for a man to lie with a man. If GOD had intended for like sexes to be together why would HE have created two?

If you are working for Homosexual acceptance then no God would not be pleased at all, He has spoken against the sin of homosexuality in scripture, if you however are working to feed and clothe those who are poor among the Homosexual community then thats another thing entirely.
