I was told by the humane society that my Lab/Ret mix is approx. 1 year old. I really doubt not think shes one. How can I be sure about her age?

The vet could tell you the approx. age by looking at her teeth. The Human society is probably right though, a vet looks at the dog before adoption.

Even a vet cannot nail it down exactly.Unless you bought a pup from a person who bred the dog, you can NEVER be sure exactly.

There's no way to tell exactly. Ask your for vet for a second opinion and go from there. Maybe choose a birthday for her in the middle.

check ur dogs teeth! usually the vet can pinpoint how old ur dog is by their teeth u cant probably do it though
