well ultimately you're setting yourself up for heartache if you know it will never work out longterm. Lets face it - Canada is a long way away - its not like you can pop home for the weekend kinda thing.
Also - have you actually met her? it might be a whole different story when you actually meet her in person - these feeling you hold for her now could evaporate - often what we think we feel - isnt that realistic when you're put face to face with a person

Follow your heart. Your ex-partners have no say and your kids will like seeing you happy. Keep your options open, maybe one of you could rent out your house while you are with the other initially? That way if it doesn't work out you can just go home again. If you love her you shouldn't let anything stand in your way.

It would depend upon the age of the children. If they are teenagers, a long distance relationship could work until you're able to move forward. The longer the time, the less chance of it working. I wish you the best!

see how your visit goe when you see her, things might be differant when your face to face,if there is a spark then work on it untill you do reach a solution, but to be honest long dis rel are hard to maintain when your both here nevermind overseas,if you do fall for each other then take time to make the right decsion, its a lifetime choice and not to be taken lightly, good luck.x

The natural law is if both of you like each other then one of you convince your children to move out with you and then all of you settle in one place and thats the only way to do it.

What is the point when you are never going to live together? Move on and find people who can make you happy - or just stay friends.
