I belive in the fact that people should have the right to their own destiny, including the right to err and to make mistakes.
I, for example, did a lot mistakes but could I live my life again, I would do exactely what I did (with a very few execptions), because it usually were the mistakes I learned most from.
If I'd be given a script how to live and to die, it would be aboring existents and not worht to live, because someonne else (the author of the acript) would life my live for me, something I reject.
Hence my answer would be thanks, but no thanks.

If you are fated to die on an assigned day you will die however smart you may think you are. I am reminded of a true incident where a man was told by an astrologer he would die in an accident on a particular date. The man refused to go out of the house and lo, the ceiling fan fell on his head while sleeping and he died.
Are you that astrologer???

I'd do everything I can to avoid it. I believe I'm going to Heaven after here but I'm still human, I still want to hold onto the only life I know - such as it is.
I'm not frightened of death, just the pain that normally preceeds it. If you told me that I would die suddenly, in my sleep at the age of 115 after a full and active life with no debilitating illnesses or diseases ... I'd be a happy bunny.

Absolutely but you can't. That's ridiculous, but your question is interesting enough to answer, even though there are so many answers probably above mine.
If I were to know when where and how I would die if it were for a "good cause" by MY judgement of course I would.
It is not just humour and a hint of sarcasm for me to say, "I laugh at death".
I think it was Shakespeare who said "death hath no sting."

If all life is a stage and I did not like my script I would try to change it, but the snag is, how do you know that what you are changing it for will be a better option in the end?

Of course I would obey it...we all have a script we are obeying.
Our script is already written including death, when it is a persons time to go...they don't have a choice!

Yes because when it is my time to die I know my journey is over
And I have done all I had to do
And it didn't matter how I died as I know I choose it as an experience
Like ever other thing I choose in my life
Love & Blessings

What a stupid question. If you told me I was gonna get hit by a bus tomorrow then I wouldn't go out jaywalking. I would stay in bed all day!!
I can't believe how many people on here are saying yes, when it happens it happens, I can't stop it. Do you not believe you have free choice in any decision you make in life? If so, why bother trying to do anything well? its already decided if you will succeed or fail.
Looks like everyone believes those final destination films.

Yes. Life is finite. We're all born to die. Dying a certain way doesn't scare me as long as I've lived as productive a life as possible. I'm giving up my Internet addiction soon. :-)
