Life is very hard. For me as a Mum I've cried buckets over not seeing my eldest daughter who decided for a reason best known to herself to cut herself off from me and her siblings and relations.
I have written and sent my grandchildren presents and always had them returned. She is obviously very hurt about something..if only I knew what...it may help, if I knew then I could say sorry for what I had done to her.
If you have the chance say sorry well do so but do not push it. Really I can empathise and hindsight is a great thing..... if only
I had not done so and so. However I truly believe that if we know our children are okay then we will just have to content ourselves with that, and get on with living. I find it so hard as you get older though to accept the fact that I will never see my daughter ever again..

So sorry Dean - what an awful situation for you. Is there any chance grandparents or mutual friends could act as intermediaries? If so, you could simply leave your contact details with them (updated when necessary) plus the message that you respect her privacy but will be happy to hear from her whenever she wants to get in touch. Maybe when she is a little older and wiser she will want to see you again. Meanwhile you may at least get to hear news of her. I wish you luck.

I think she is trying to tell you very gently you doesn't want to see you. Over those years you tried to see her, did you pay maintenance to the mother? If you did, she will appreciate that one day, so just make sure she knows where to contact you. Should you move always leave a forwarding address.

If your daughter is 19 years old, she will get in touch with you on her own when she is ready. Just be sure she has access to your whereabouts. I understand your heartbreak, since I haven't seen one of my kids in 15 years. It's painful, but I don't allow his choices to ruin my life. I pray for him and "know" that I'll see him again. Godloveya.

Well i have never met my father - but i have met his parents and it was odd for me like meeting someone in a pub. you see its real hard to make that connection. do you know her address if so i think the best thing would be to write a letter words on paper mean so much more, just explain everything to her and let her kow how you feel and im sure she will reply. email me if you like.
