I think everyone who gambles on the boats should write their congressman about this problem

thats a good idea but i doubt anyone will do it.


add: my question though, is, how the h*LL will they ever know we won if we just dont claim?

You can claim losses up to any amount that you must claim as winnings to offset. If you want proof of loss then ask for a profit/loss from the players club at the end of the year. Also to make this claim, you must itemize deductions. If your winnings were over 5500 then it will be to your advantage to do so. If you have nothing to prove losses and you wish to do so, then you can buy very cheaply, losing lottery tickets from ebay.

the government doent care that you blew money, it only cares if you get money. thats why you have to claim the wins but no loses. sorry they are greedy. And you have to claim the winnings where ever you won them from it doesnt matter that it was on a boat.

not state but federal tax you can claim but only your winning wager ( if you lose 5000 at the horse track but win 1 race you can claim the $2.00 ticket you won on you cant claim your losses mighty nice of them huh
