recently one of my close mates tried to sleep with me at a party while we were both drunk. i managed to get him off me but now he acts like nothing happend. he said sorry but also told me to keep my mouth shut. what do i do?

i dont want to sleep with him. i was just really hurt that i culdnt trust myself around a really close friend. being drunk doesnt mean anything, if that was a valid excuse people would get away with everything. y shuld i hav to suffer for his actions...did i mention he has a gf

I think if you feel uncomfortable around him because of it you should talk to someone, it does not matter if you were both drunk or not, he didn't respect you. As a male friend he should of kept the guys like that away from you while you were drinking that's what my male friends do and none of them have ever tried to take advantage of me. If you are willing to forgive him and remain friends then that's your choice but he obviously knows he did wrong other wise he would not be telling you to keep quiet about it. Good Luck.

You have the best option now. KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. You cannot do anything else. You will have this annoyance for sometime. Take it as a punishment for not being careful. Since he has a girlfriend already he is not going to come for you. So it is a closed chapter. Forget it completely.

Theres nothing wrong with trying to sleep with a 'mate' of the opposite sex at a party. Pushing yourself on them is a different thing. It depends how serious the incident was.
The fact that he "told" you to shut up about it is bad. He could have asked you to keep it quiet. Its good that he apologised.
I think he is embarrassed and ashamed, and even though what he did was wrong, its to some extent understandable him "telling" you not to tell, because he is scared of it getting out. Obviously it could do a lot of damage to his rep, and just asking you to keep quiet seems to give you more latitude to tell. He is terrified of you telling anyone. Therefore you have the power anyway.

Things happen when you get drunk . People do things and say things that they would not normaly do. Although you said that nothing really happen. and that you said that he said he was sorry. Perhaps you both at fault and that mistakes happen. Life is full of choices. You both made them. Now live with them.

had this been necessary to bring him to task if he had actually succeeded in it

stop drinking or limit your drinking to sober level and everything would be solved because if he alone was drunk and you were sober then you would have simply turned him to the other side and you would have left the place smiling yourself how he lost his balance same thing you do it now also.
