Do you think Israel will wait, or will do a pre-emptive strike at Iran?

Israel is on an edge now. They have only two options, as far as I know, they either wait (until is too late) or they will strike at Iran.

They know more about what is going on there than we do.

The worst thing that could happen would be for Israel to strike against Iran. The whole Middle East would explode into war. You must also not under estimate Irans capability to strike back. They are, as a military force very well equipped , not only with an Army but an excellent Air force, and a powerful Navy. They are quite capable of launching a very strong missile attack against Israel by ground and air.

Good and important question.

I agree with the guy above that Iran's facilities are much better protected than Iraq's were, and Iran is still some way from being capable of making a nuclear weapon.

But Israel will have to strike at a crucial moment not far off. You can bet they know a lot more about Iran's capability than anyone else.

Not just pre-emptive, but totally unjustified.

If Iran wanted to attack Israel, it could have been doing so for the last 7 years, with its longer ranged missiles, and some could have been carrying chemical weapons (both sides used them in the Iran-Iraq war).

Iran has not attacked anyone in the last 300 years. Even if it develops a nuclear bomb (which I doubt) that doesn't mean it is suddenly going to change its policy.

Israel will do what it's always done. Whatever that is. Israel has just had a bash in Lebanon and had to pull out. I think Israel is having a bit of a re-think concerning it's generals. Maybe if another Moshe Diane [hope that's the spelling] turns up, then they may very well go in there with guns blazing. But not right now. Gotta be sure of 'back-up' and that means the USA's approval first.

They'll wait but I'll bet ya that within news of Iran launching a War Israel will attack. If Iran drops 1 Nuclear Bomb Israel will drop 2. You can't say Israel Doesn't have the technology cause they have nuclear plants and refinery's like Iran but are more secretive

They will likely wait. Israel will wait, Iran will wait. There will be continuous tension build-up, USA will side even more with Israel, Russia (who wants to be considered superpower) with Iran and EU declaratively on Israel's side but in reality in lukewarm waters. In shot: much of the same!

Israel performed a pre-emptive strike on an Iraqi nuclear power station and levelled it to the ground. They will do the same for Iran, it's just a matter of time.

If you're talking about pre emptive strike to destroy the nuclear facilities, it won't work as Iran's facilities are different than Iraq's, they're underground.

As for a full land, sea, and air strike, that probably won't happen as Israel would need U.S. support and even though the U.S. hates Iran right now, I don't see them giving the support.

Israel will remain on the edge until US will allow to do something but I do not think that US trust Israel's military power now.

I certainly desire so. usa is only too spineless to do it. cutting-edge administration is only too obsessed on theory. Achmidinajab (spelling ambivalent) has publicly suggested that Israel would desire to be destroyed, and that they are generating the nukes to do it. If Obama became doing his interest and authoring the CIA to place the those that the Iranian electorate certainly need in ability, then it does no longer be needed for Israel to realize this. a marvelous type of persons are going to die because of the fact of Obama's narcissistic self absorption (redundancy meant).
