does anyone know any travel agents with reasonable rates for a honeymoon FROM south africa to an overseas destination (we havent decided yet)..
its gona be in december and usually the rates go up around that time of year...

Hi, I'm from the UK but i have alot of family in SA.
I had my wedding there and went to Thailand, Phuket and Malaysia for my Honeymoon. I then went back to SA for a few days then flew back to the UK via Dubai (which is beautiful, by the way). We booked it all from SA as it was much cheaper than the UK.
My Dad used to arrange our flights to SA every few years to see him (he lived there, i lived in the UK). He always used 'Saleh's Travel' - they are based in Lenasia.

There must be Travel Agents in South Africa that can let you have prices. A lot of these Agents have special Honeymoon Deals. Why don't you just call it to a good Agent and let them know what you want and how much you can spend on it and I'm sure they will show you something you will love.

I live in Scotland but imagine it will be the same most places. It all depends the date in December. Usually early December prices are very reasonable. Also what we would no here would be keep checking for the budget flights coming out on the dates you want to go. It could be much cheaper doing it this way. Haven's a clue about in S Africa but here when the flights for the season come out with the budget airlines they are at their best prices and then gradually go up. All the best.

I'm from SA too, but now living in the UK. When I was booking my flights here I went to Flight Centre. They're very good and will even beat a price if you find it somewhere else for cheaper!
If you phone them and explain what you want, they are very friendly and helpful and will research it for you over the phone! Also, the earlier you book your holiday, the better your price will be! They also have some great packages....visit their website:

i got married and honeymooned in st lucia the caribbean is the most beautiful place.try going places,thomas cook,my travel lite,thompson,travel hayes,orchid these do good deals on different days to different places.congratulations and good luck.x
