Hi Ex - I would vote for this option - Since you already have Phuket on your agenda, I would stay in that area... take a couple of days in Krabi, Phi Phi Islands, and maybe a couple of days just north of Phuket as well - - The trip to Bali will cost you not only $$ but a full tiring day of travel.. I say that there is enuf that is different in the Phuket area to keep you busy or totally relaxed as your mood dictates. I would not even go to Samui... if it is your first time in Thailand, you will have a great time with Thai people - learn a few words of language [ I'll even email you a beginners guide to the language that I made for friends... ok? - just some more thoughts - not sure where you are coming from, but just the trip to Phuket might tire you out too.. My vote is making it all about relaxing and one place that will always be a special memory... but up to you - I assume I am not invited?

Hi Ex, I just been to Bali. Bali is a Island that give you lots of choices of life style. Bali can provide you with very luxurious holiday with private villa, private spa, private garden and private service. Villa in Bali range from budget to very luxurious. The service they provide can be categorize as royal service. If you feel like enjoy the beach activity, Bali has plenty to choose. Lastly, wish you have a fantastic honeymoon!!!

Phuket is better, but if you go to bali stay at Lovina (SP?) Beach which is on Northern side. Much more quiet and relaxed. Kuta is very busy and loud with many drunken people (like me!!) parting all night and sleeping in pools for a few hours before restarting.
Have you thought about Sabar in North Borneo that is very quiet and only last few years becoming touristy.

Bali is fine, but for a couple of weeks, Phuket gives you more options and choices of activities you can engage in.

Bali is good for honeymooners, nice private villas with private pool near the beaches or mountains, your choice. Nice food and lot of things to do.

Bali is good, but Boracay is the best!
