Firstly, I have a gripe with supermarket loos. They put the loo role dispenser on on the side where the door opens and if you are any more than a size 8 (UK) you have to fight to squeeze past it to sit on the loo.
Then the people who have their dispensers on the wall just behind your shoulder, how easy is that to get hold of?
Loo roll above the cistern behind you?
The other day I visited someone who had the loo at one end of the bath and the freestanding loo roll dispenser on the floor at the other end of the bath!!!
Does this exasperate anyone else?

And the next question is.... When I have spent the last 30 years knowing perfectly well the difference between "role" and "roll" why have I suddely got them mixed up? LOL

Yes it would me as well. I think that in public loos,supermarkets,department stores, the roll holders are just put anywhere without a lot of thought. so long as there is one there.The only place you can influence is in your own home where the design of your bathroom allows you to be flexible. Personally I like the roll holder/dispenser to be on my right hand side at just a bit higher level than the loo and can reach it easily without getting up You could mention this to you local shop or whatever but I doubt if the will do anything about it.

Hi--I live in California. I have even more gripes. The door that opens INWARD so you can hardly get out. No place to hang your purse or belly bag or whatever, & you'd never want to put it on the yucky floor! By the way, when I say "loo" everyone here gives me this "blank" look. Hello? Also, why do we feel the need to explain a mistype? As if no one ever does it? I HATE public loos!

in my opinion.. id rather thank goodness the bathroom even has paper.. I hate going into one, doing your business only to find out no paper anywhere...

They do so because it suits them. And it is their home after all.
All you need to do is check the whereabouts of the offending paper and avail yourself of some before making a deposit.
