I don't know where you live so you may not have an ASDA or a Morrison's nearby, but if you do, they are well worth a visit. I drive about three miles past Tesco's to shop at Morrisons as I think Morrisons have lower prices in general and their cafeteria is far superior to Tesco. I also find ASDA prices and ranges better than Tesco's.

But, in the end it all down to personal choice, so good hunting.

Poor Tesco. I don't see why people are so hard on Tesco. It all began when Asda/Walmart started whining about Tesco's dominence. However they were pretty equal when Walmart (one of USA's biggest and wealthiest companies) bought Asda. Tesco was a minnow in comparison to their firepower. So they set about on a growth strategy, giving good quality products and service, and ventured in to online shopping and financial services to compete with this mammoth... and they have done well at it over past 9 years.

Added to which Asda still does tv commercials which seem directed at scally mothers and fathers who are on the dole... or in poorly paid jobs whereas Tesco's tv commercials are universally welcoming to all people.

This is indeed sad news.Do you have a Morrisons nearby or maybe a quaint corner shop such as Londis or Spar.I am told that there is such a thing as online shopping but it's like camouflage....I can't see it...
