Marines is the best fighting machine as a large unit. It is well disciplined and organized in operations. Thus, the Marines are the first to land in enemy territories.

That really depends what you want to do..The whole Marines are the first spiel isn't entirely correct..Army Rangers, Special Forces and Airborne units are usually in before Marines..Yes Marines are in before the regular Army ..but thats due to the fact they are a bit more mobile constantly being deployed on carriers .
If you want to do something technical go Navy or Air force. If you're more interested in a combat arm go Army or Marines.

It depends on what you looking for. Are you looking for training that will help you get a job when you get out? Are you looking to make a career out of the military? Whatever you do, study for the ASVAB because your ASVAB score will determine what type of jobs you qualify for. The higher the score, the more opportunities you will have. Don't let the recruiter or classifier at MEPS determine your job. If you have something you want to do and what they offer you is not what you want, tell them you want to wait until your desired job is available. Remember, they need you more than you need them. Go to a website like military.com and research the different jobs so you can have something in mind before you start the recruiting process.

It honestly comes down to what you want to do while your in the military. For me I was already dead set on being a Marine so I went straight to the USMC recruitting office and enlisted. Different branches can offer you different kinds of enlistment bonuses but the Marine recruiter was honest with me and said that Marines can't offer you enlistment bonuses like every other branch can, people who enlist with them do so just to be a Marine.

if i had to do it all over again, it would most probably be the air force, the AF has more technical training and is more comparable to civilian occupations. but im glad i became a Marine

I encourage you to visit the recruiters for every branch of service and hear them out. Thats what I did before choosing. Its only alittle time.

go to a recruiter and start gathering info on all of them. sit down and start reading. then find some people that are serving or have serve and ask them about it. when you have all your info, only you can decide whats best for you.
