Once again Nascar is full of lies and half-truths:

J.D.Powers 2006 Results:

Toyota and Lexus ranked highest in most vehicle segments in the survey.

For the 11th straight year, Lexus is tops in long-term quality in J.D. Power
and Associates' Vehicle Dependability Study.

According to the 2005 study, owners of 2002-model Lexus vehicles reported
139 problems per 100 vehicles. Power released the study on Wednesday.

Lexus showed a 14 percent improvement in dependability over 2004, Power
said. Lexus vehicles ranked first in three of the 19 car and truck segments
included in the study.

The Lexus LS 430 had 90 problems per 100 vehicles. It is the first model in
the history of the 16-year-old study to have fewer than one problem per
vehicle.

I read the articles posted by nascar and they are very biased. The oil sludge problems have been addressed by Toyota already and it proves that people who complained really weren't looking after their cars correctly. And also, to post reviews of other cars doesn't diminish the quality of Toyota products. Sure a few recent Toyota trucks have had more than their usual quality issues, but overall Toyota is still number one for quality. GM is towards the bottom of 2006 JD Powers results for quality problems.

I own a shop, but I take time out everyday to answer as many questions as I can before work, and some after work. Not everyone has money to throw at their vehicle, and must rely on there own self to do the repairs. Just because I am fortunate enough to be doing good, I often think of all the people who don't have anything. Many people in this world go to bed at night hungry. I thank God for giving me the ability to help others, and wish I could somehow do more. It is refreshing to hear someone thank us for donating our time to answer questions, and for that I am grateful. If I help at least one person per day who is less fortunate than me, then I have done my job. To me it really isn't about the points. Some people on here act like they expect the answer, and are rude when you try to help them, but to have someone like you come along, and just thank everyone for being there, is refreshing, and something we don't see every day.
We don't make any money for spending our time on here, or do we get any prizes. To give back to the less fortunate is more than enough to keep us going.
Glad to help out, and be a part of the answer.
