Love is a feeling of affection, caring, companionship, and liking everything about a person - their character, their ways of doing things etc.

Attraction is more of a physical thing. The look of someone's face, the sound of their voice, the colour of their hair and so on.

You can be attracted to someone without knowing them. To love someone, you must know them. I think the two often become one thing in a relationship - love then alters attraction so that certain things that change and render someone objectively unattractive in some way are still attractive to you.

Hope this helps!

The only person that can answer that is you!

There is a real big difference between attraction and love. I could be attracted to any hot guy I see but I LOVE my husband.

I cant tell you how to distinguish the two because its a feeling that comes from the heart.

All I know is you Will defiantly know when your in love.

The difference between love and attraction...

Attraction is an emotional feeling. You want to be with them, look at them, touch them, talk to them etcetra, because of the way it makes you feel. Attraction is very helpful with love.

Love is something a little bit more. It may have been forgotten and has become more and more confused. The truth is LOVE IS A CHOICE. When someone says they love you they are really making a commitment to you. They are committing devotion. To accept you how you are, no matter what has happened in the past or may happen in the future. They commit to help you become better. That is how a grandma loves her grand-kids, a father loves his son, a husband loves a wife, and so on. In each case one person chooses to love the other. There is no such thing as "falling in" or "falling out" of love. You have the wonderful ability to choose whom you love or whom not to love. (In my opinion this is a more romantic idea than that of finding a "soul mate". Since you could have choosen to love anyone when you choose your spouse it is a very special occasion.) Like many things in life this is not a one time decision. Everyday we have the choice to love someone or not. If you think of the most powerful imagerys of love, the marriage proposal, the marriage vow ceremony, the birth of a new born child, the death of someone close, and the many more; they all reaffirm the idea of commitment. For a marriage to work sucessfully each partner makes the choice to love their spouse every day. Their are many tools to help make that choice easier. Gary Chapman's "The Five Love Lanuages" is an excellent place to start with any relationship.

I believe the real question here though is the age old: Is he/she the right one?
We all seem to know what love is, though it may be difficult for us to explain. Of course that is how it is with many things.
So are they the right one?
It is really a two-fold question.
The first part is easiest to answer because you answer it yourself. Do you choose to love them? To commit yourself to them, show devotion, and help them become better? To accept them where they are at no matter the past or the future? This is a long term permanent decision that needs to be reaffirmed continuously if most of the time only on a subconscious level. The second part is more difficult because no matter how you choose the other person must choose to love you in return. The good news is when two people choose to love each other they become an unstoppable force and become the very building blocks of our nation and the world!

Love means different things to different people, and some people love much more deeply than others. Attraction is simple, instinctual and rather animalistic. Love is sublime and depending on how sensitive and empathetic a person is, along with how they were raised in their family/society, they can love in different ways and degrees. They say that a mother's love is the strongest, deepest and truest kind of love, probably because mother's will do and sacrifice anything for their kids. That's love. Dogs and other animals offer a simple, unconditional love with no strings attached. That's love too.

Love explains the companionship, caring, affection and feeling one has for another. Love is a relationship that binds two people together such that their individual differences can hardly be noticeable amongst them. Qualities such as patience, endurance, trust etc. are always found in true love. Attraction on the other hand is a state of likeness one develops on another because of a specific feature found in that person. It could be the walking step of this fellow, his/her facial beauty, character or even mode of dressing.

Attraction is a physical desire you feel towards other person, it is a feeling you feel physicaly and relate to physically only. Love has no connection with the physical, it is an emotional attachment, you can love ur dog, there is not sexual aspect towards it. I would say what lies beyond physical attraction is the emotional aspect formed by memories with a person which translates to love.

Attraction throws you off your guard for the moment it takes to recover
but true Love drives you out of your mind from which most fail to recover, that early.
