portion can be obtained each day from juices. Confused? So am I! Which is right? I'm trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle and I'm curious about this

Innocent Smoothies are far from innocent anyway. If you drink enough of them you are getting additional portion equivalents of fruit. But, have you looked at the amount of sugar and calories they contain?

Juice is just juice with all the solids taken out therefore lacking roughage which is why you cannot count too much towards your daily portions. Smoothies tend to pulp the whole fruit and each whole pulped fruit will count. Thats why smoothies are thick and juices runny.
Anyway your 5 aday is a minimum to eat so if ever your unsure tuck into more fruit and veg.

If you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle, don't drink too much of this type of stuff - choc full of sugars and calories. It's best to get your five a day from actual pieces and portions
of fruit and veg.

Go to their site, its fun there, and also, maybe you read it for a different recippe, eg: you were drinking the strawberries and banana's but read that 1portion comes from the mango one, but they are still very healthy =)

Perhaps if you drink it just before midnight, and finish just after,, there you go.
