I love the English (GB English) accent when it's spoken correctly. In other words, I don't care of the modern day English slang, but rather just an everyday normal English accent.
I'm an American, too, and though there is no true definition of an "American" accent, I think our accents are broken down into regions. Northern accents, Southern accents, etc.
There's something about a Boston accent that just makes me weak in the knees! And I'm from the South! LOL
Oh, and I also love the Scottish and Irish accents. A lot of people get the two mixed up or think they are the same even though there is a distinct difference.

yes American is an accent. If you go to a foreign country you will have an American accent. Every single person who speaks a language has an accent.
Oh, and the Australians, British, Germans and the Dutch have the best accents.

I listen to alot of different accents throughout my day but I think my absolute favorite is the Irish accent. I live in Jersey and I seldom hear it anymore. Its almost like through an entire day of hearing spanish accents (which are nice too) it is so refreshing for someone to walk in with an irish accent. Its like candy to the ears

Scottish and Irish accents tie for the coolest. By American accents do you mean U.S.A. accents? If so there are two different types: Boston and Arkansan. Arkansan ranks in at # 2 by the way.
