You're going to get a lot of opinions on this. I chose a Sony Bravia. Just go to your local electronics store and look at them.

Its not only about the specs, you can have a Sony XBR with the same exact specs as a certian samsung but there will be no comparason in picture and quality.

Sony XBR units are the best.

Phone rang, got ANOTHER service call for a Samsung LCD 52" right out of warranty.

I have had my shop open for 2 years and all i get in is walmart junk and samsungs. I have only had 3 Sonys about 03 models and maybe about 20 other sonys that are 10+ old.

Sony Bravia. I bought one in November. It is the best-looking TV I have ever seen - both the unit itself and the picture. The specs are top-notch - 8ms response time, 7000 contrast ratio, etc. I watch HDTV, and play XBox 360 and Wii on it. All look incredible. There is no ghosting, and the colors are vivid and crisp. I have the 40" model; they also make a 46" model.
