Rice crispie cakes

My little girl's favourite at the moment are Rice Krispie cakes made with Mars bars:

3 regular sized mars bars
3 ounces butter
3 ounces Rice Krispies

Melt the butter & mars bars together, stir in the Rice Krispies until coated with the goo and spread out onto a buttered baking sheet.

Chill until set then cut into squares. Totally yummy as the mars bars make them chewy...

Think I'll make some this weekend!!!

I take them to Waitrose where I know all the ingredients will be fresh and tasty and then let them choose lots of fruits and make smoothies!

The Waitrose fresh fruit just tastes so much better than those cheaper supermarkets - and you can be sure of the quality.

They also try to bring in local British produce unlike Sainsburys and Tescos.

I used to love doing anything with my mum, but as we have got older, my mum has become so pernickity about it all! So I dont mind doing the odd thing now and again.

Cakes used to be my favourite (because you could lick the bowl) and biscuits (mmmmmm cookie dough)

My nephew and niece love making marshmallow mushrooms. You take some marshmallows dip into melted chocolate and then dip into hundreds and thousands. Allow to cool and voila marshmallow mushrooms. Very quick and easy.

I remeber when I was young, I loved to make rice crispy buns...then I was promoted to real buns. But something simple , like rice crispy buns, you can go wrong.

Absolutely anything! as long as i'm in the kitchen cooking she wants to join in and loves it! mostly its anything involving chopping raw vegetables but i think that is as much because she likes to eat them as anything else, she can't really help with that one either.

she just likes to be involved in everything from making cups of tea (hod chogwat for her!) to dishing up dinner.
