No you don't have to believe if you choose
You know Tomorrow is not promised to you and therefore can be considered the "Unknown" for you have no clue as to what may happen
Edit:
I believe in God because I have read on other religions and felt His will pull me towards His everlasting love.

There has to be a purpose why we are on this earth if we just live and die there is nothing to look forward too. I believe in God and I believe in heaven. It gives people hope that there is something better Religion also helps people live better lives if we didn't have religion I think people would be sinning all the time and this world would be in total anarchy

I am a born again Christian and it is not because of fear of the unknown, it is the fear of God who can send us to hell. Once I became born again I turned from sin and live a much happier life now. I have Jesus as my savior and know that His blood has washed my sins away. With Jesus in your heart and in your life, you cannot go wrong.

We need to believe in something. It serves as our guide and believing in Him somehow sharpens your conscience and makes you do more good. If we live by God so basically we'll do good, then, at the time of our death, we'll enjoy eternal bliss. If in case there is no God and you believed that there is, you're still ok because you've lived a life with a conscience. It's a win-win.

God is not unknown to us, so we do not fear the unknown, it is the non believer that is afraid, he is afraid to seek God out and see the truth! here it is.

Belief in God is due to the neurotically existentialist fear of mortality.
God promises that if you believe in *him* you will live *forever* in a place called *heaven*.
Who wouldn't want to live forever in paradise?

I think people are thinkers and they process information rationally to make sense out of life. They can look at the wonders in the world and think,"This couldn't just happen by chance."

Yes, I do, and I think that something has to be positive and always for a greater good, whatever religion or creed. If a religion does not promote that, but promotes pain and inward gratification, then no.
