After 3 days the hunger pangs really get to us. It is a way of your body screaming for something it is not getting. It is also an emotional thing. We are being deprived of the sweets and fat that feed our emotions. Like smoking the first part of dieting is hard and we often fail. Try easing into the diet. For example start cutting out soda or chocolate or fast food. Try one thing that you normally eat and love.
Try that for a week, then the second week cut back to about 1500 calories for a couple weeks, easing in a couple 1200 calorie days here and there. It is a slower progress, but it is better than starting and failing.
But the best advice I can offer, get a support group or be accountable to something when getting on the scale. That will help you stay tough and avoid the emotional eating. Good luck.
Lastly, in my office, I often take the stairs instead of elevator and walk the grounds over my lunch hour just to get in some exercise during the day. Enlist a friend to walk at lunch.

It is all about your priorities in life.
If you want to loose weight and maintain a health diet badly enough, you will do it.
But to do requires time to be prioritised, and hard work.
Here are a couple of suggestions for you. I am not sure how practical they are for you, but you need to start somewhere.
1) Cut out unnecessary junk food from you diet - stop drinking so much soft drink, fried fatty food at work, and change to drinking more water, fresh foods, increasing the content of fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains in your diet.
2) Try to encorporate an exercise regime into your way of life. This may mean walking or cycling to work if practical, or joining a gym, or setting aside time to walk at home early in the morning or later in the evening. Walk for at least 20-30min, 5 times a week.
3) Get someone else, ideally your partner, or another friend/colleague to join you in your exercise.
4) Join a team sport that you enjoy playing
5) Visit a dietician to get some help regarding changing your diet and cooking quick and healthy food
6) Talk to your local doctor about the same.
There is no simple solution other than to say, you need to be exercising more, and eating less calorie full food, that way your input will be less than your output and you will loose weight. Not only this, but you will feel more envigorated for life.
All the best.

1. Pack a light lunch you can eat quickly -- mind the calories
2. Go for a brisk walk of at least 20 minutes each lunch break (just around the parking lot would work, but if you can go down the street a bit...)
3. Don't eat snacks or drink soda pop during the day. Drink water or tea or something without sugar.
