she should tell. it'll come out eventually, better that she tell him personally.

If it's something important like your example then yes, she needs to tell her new partner after they've been together for awhile and trust has been firmly established. There are some secrets that can damage a relationship beyond repair and if they come out by means other than the person who holds them that won't be good.

I think that is up to the individual. In most cases once people are in a loving relationship, there really aren't any secrets that need to be kept. It isn't a matter of being honest, just a matter of knowing your partner and trusting them not to judge you on your past anymore than you would judge them.

If it comes up I wouldn't hide it. But I do think its important to know at least a little about the past of your partner, but not to really Judge your partner by it. So I think you should let your partner know in a casual convo if it gets brought up.

I wish people would be honest in everything they do.. We would all be happy. U need to be honest to your partner.. No matter how long u r able to lie about ur past sooner or later he will eventually get to know.. A relationship build in lies never last..
Good Luck

Honesty is the best policy, this is to an honest friend and not to an untrustworthy. Whatever u did in the past will not be hidden forever, when time comes, by and by the revelation of the past will be known sooner or later.

acutually i think it s easy to be honest but bad things have a sweet way in the begining that when we start to do it we can t stop till the end where we found all of those things stupid and does make no sense.
i think if your partner loves you that will hide all your mistakes in the past if you had change for better and if you tried to front all of your past bravery cos bravery not will be shown in your speech or in your talk but it will be shown when you act that the way i treat people and i think it works good with me

Well, maybe you can tell your new partner a little bit about your past and as the relationship builds keep telling them more.

i expect to know my partners history not to discriminate or whatsoever him, but rather, to know what to say and what not to comment at times. IT's very important to be honest in relationship but i also believe privacy is important as well. Maybe to a point that you want ot spend your entire life with that person, then too honest is necessary. But meanwhile, enjoy your privacy!

it is always good to be honest, be it convictions or anything less glorious. if that guy really loves the girl, then he would have accepted her past, love her present and protect her future.
