It really depends on what your interests are... if you like history and old building, you are in the right place!
Brugge and Gent are really nice cities to visit. They are both really old and have a lot of historical buildings and they are also great for shopping and going out.
If you are interested in zoo's, there is one in Antwerp and one in Mechelen. Also beautiful cities.
A city of students in Leuven, also very nice.
Then of course there is Brussels, a very nice town with lots of musea and so on...
It also depends on where you are staying... but if you are staying in Brussels, you can reach every major city by train in maximum 2 hours...
Don't forget to try our great chocolates and have some beers (we have over 100 different ones) and go to a restaurant, we serve great food here.
And if you like "french fries" go to an original "fritkot" you find the best ones there.
Have a nice holiday, I'm sure you will enjoy our beautiful country!
PS : If you stay in the Flemish part of Belgium, almost everyone speaks English...
