evaluate the gift reciever to be. think thoroughly over the traits and personality and character of the person. consider the details of your relations thus far. analyze youself and what feelings you have that pertain to said person. perhaps with those steps you can find the best answer within yourself. other than that try something the person doesnt have, will use nearly every day, and might likely be uniquely from you (my wife and i got a very nice towel set from my aunt for our wedding. we use them regularly whitch leads to thinking of her regularly).

Well, you're just silly. How can we tell you something "meaningful" to get this person if we don't even know them! No no, sorry girl, but this is something only you should answer instead of asking online strangers.
Here's the little advice you SHOULD follow however:
Whatever this gift is, make sure it's not too expensive, but not obviously cheap either. I know it's the meaningful thing that counts, but the person will be flattered anyway if you chose to spend some money on them.
Also, this gift...I would take ideas from a speical moment/memory/inside joke that either only you two know or made up.
Good luck!

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it
