Sometimes, I pretend I'm in different situations and then I act it out. I get into "***** fights" and tell people how it really is. I basically practice social situations in my bathroom. But sometimes I find myself just having a half hour conversation with no one around. I pretend its an ex bf or a good friend. Someone tell me what's up with that?

A lot of people do this. I think it's a form of role acting. It's a good way to get things out of your system. Some therapists encourage this during sessions, not actually using a mirror, but encouraging the person to pretend to talk to someone. I don't see where this could do any harm unless it becomes obsessive and you spend so much time doing this that you're not getting things done.

I do the same thing in my mirror...and it actually prepared me for real life situations and made me more confident. I use to be a very shy person, then I would look at the mirror and talk to myself, put myself in social situations and talk away and when an actual situation came up I wasn't nervous....everyone talks to themselves, I always do, its almost like therapy in a way, it dosent mean your crazy...

You obviously enjoy your own comapany and acting out the social situations can be an excellent activity to sort out your feelings regarding a situation. If you do not like talking to yourself you might try getting a pet. Maybe instead of talking to yourself you could talk to a pet fish.

I've caught myself doing similar things, not to that extent though. Probably isn't that strange.
