Ok,My dad was ill,the whole fandamily held hands around him and prayed for his healing and recovery, which did not happen,he passed. The Bible states"where two or more are gathered in prayer" It shall be done.Well,we had tremendous faith in our prayers...What happened? Prayers move mountains? Our prayers should have moved many. Yes,i believe God has answers for all this, and i also believe there are reasons, but we prayed for dads recovery full force and i just want to know what we prayed for now.

Did you ever think his recovery was to actually pass and to go to Heaven where he has no physical pain? Maybe your prayer was answered, just not in the way you expected.

Prayer.....eh that's an interesting topic. I don't believe in prayer, but it's not to say that others can't. However prayer isn't really for the healing of others (in my opinion at least), it's for the healing of the person who's praying. It gives them peace of mind....something to wish for, and something to take their mind off of the things going on around them...or to just focus their bad thoughts and feelings into something good. This being said, I also find prayer a way for people to pit blame on God for things gone wrong, and also a way out of dealing with bad things that happen. Instead of dealing with something, people turn to prayer in hopes of a miracle that probably won't happen. So basically all it is, is a redirection of energy into thoughts of healing, not to say that anything will actually get healed.

I'm sorry about your dad. But, Jesus said, where two or more are gathered in His name, He will be there.
Losing a loved one is the hardest thing in the world.
I know because I lost my Mom 9 years ago.
God has given me peace, comfort and strength through those years.
Sometimes we don't understand God's reason but we must continue to have faith and continue to pray.
Again I am sorry for your lost.
You and your family will be in my prayers.

Prayers are not to force our will on God but rather enable us to do His will on Earth.
The same thing happened when my mom passed away but we all saw her pass while we prayed. When I think back on the moment I believe it was more comforting for us to commit her to Gods care and help us endure the loss. The loss of a loved one is not easy at all.
Some suffering is intended to strengthen faith and Peter says, "Be glad, there is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials show that your faith is genuine...So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world."
My condolences at your loss.

...the "power" of prayer is a wonderful and Supernatural move. ...but remember, it's all Gods decision on what to do with our prayers... God did heal him... God took him home to be healed and now your dad is more "weller" then he's ever been... thank God for His awesome Power... I know, you dad is not here to enjoy his new health with you... Gods ways are not our ways... His thoughts are not our thoughts and in as much "we" go on till "we" are called... be ready, eternity is only (1) heart-beat away... Your dad is fine and so are you...

Death is a price for sin, and we can not get away from it. Now you continue to pray for you and your family. I'm very sorry for your lose, but we can not dwell in the death of people only in the living.
Even in prayer we give it up to God for His decision to be made. Sometimes we do not understand what or why some things are done in life, but we have to go on. My grandmother had cancer, instead of praying for her to get better, I honestly prayed that God would take her and keep her. She was in pain you see, and I know that her body was tired

We can't live forever. God is going to take us home sooner or later. Pray that God's will be done. Pray for strength and understanding.

God know's of what you pray. Next time you pray write down what you pray. So you can remember what you pray and not worry. John 14.

You have to trust that God will do what is best. Put it in his hands. Even though we may not understand why, God will do the right thing. Even if we cant see it.
