1. Sugar Ray Robinson - No fighter was as well rounded as Robinson.
2. Henry Armstrong - Over 100 KO's in a brilliant career and the only man to hold 3 titles at 3 different weight classes simultaneously.
3. Muhammad Ali - no explanation needed.
4. Roberto Duran - greatest lightweight ever. No one but the three ranked above him were better in their prime.
5. Joe Louis - 25 consecutive title defenses and almost 12 consecutive years as heavyweight champion.
6. Willie Pep - a defensive master par excellence. Plenty of heart to go along with his defensive mastery.
7. Archie Moore - 'Ol Mongoose could box or slug. Ducked for many years by great fighters. Oldest and possibly the longest reigning light heavyweight champion ever. Well over 100 KO's in his great career.
8. Salvador Sanchez - The great featherweight ring general is case of what could have been. Died tragically in a car crash at the age of 23. His Hall of Fame record at the time of his death was 44-1-1 32 KO's.
9. Sugar Ray Leonard - His moxy, ring savvy, an ability to suck it up and pull out wins against fellow Hallof Famers puts him on this list. I must admit I was never a fan of his but talent and will can't be ignored.
10. Marvin Hagler - possibly the greatest middleweight ever could box or slug. During his reign he ruled the middleweight division with an iron fist.

Honorable mention: Harry Greb, Carlos Monzon, Benny Leonard, Ezzard Charles, Rocky Marciano, Julio Cesar Chavez.

Good question sir. Brent gave a truly great answer as his boxing knowledge is incredible as usual. Here is my top 10:

1. Sugar Ray Robinson 175 wins 108 kayo's. welterweight champ and mulit middleweight champion who fought fierce competition along the way. Is highly regarded as the pound for pound best boxer in history and could do it all in the ring.
2. Rocky Marciano the man who refused to lose at 49-0-0 43 kayo's. Rocky was fiercely determined and what the word fighter really means as he feared nobody in the ring.
3. Joe Louis the immortal "Brown Bomber" was champ for nearly 12 years with 25 title defenses in his career. He lost to Schemeling in 36 and didn't lose again until 1951.
4. Henry Armstrong had over 100 kayo's in his career and held 3 title in three different weight classes simultaneoulsy. Good reason he was nicknamed "Homicide Hank"
5. Willie Pep the great featherweight champion had 230 wins in his amazing career and was well known for his great defensive boxing ability.
6. Muhammad Ali brought a charisma to boxing that has never been seen. Undoutedbly the fastest of the heavyweight champs and a 3 time champion.
7. Roberto Duran "Hands of Stone" was called that for a good reason and at lightweight nobody could beat him. He also won titles in other weight classes too.
8. Archie Moore "The Ol' Mongoose" had to wait a long time for his chance at a title and at an advanced age won the lght heavy title and kept it for nearly 10 years. Also holds the record with 145 career kayo's.
9. (tie) Carlos Monzon and Marvin Hagler both great middleweight champions who beat many great fighters during their brilliant careers. Would have loved to have seen a dream fight between these two greats!

Honorable mention: Salvadore Sanchez, Ricardo Lopez, Harry Greb, Stanley Ketchel, Sandy Saddler, Sugar Ray Leonard.
