She finds it difficult to mentally calculate how much money she should receive back after buying something. To minus Rs.15 from Rs.20 she has to do it on paper. What can I do to help her? Otherwise she is quite good on other subjects.

First of all speak to her openly. Then if it is not difficulty then consult a Psychiatrist. Don't keep any perception because we have to solve the problem. Don't shy to see a Psychiatrist. He is also a human being the difference is that he studied about mind like a computer operator study computer.

There in no problem in solving it on the paper but don't make it an issue, this problem most of the students face.
Does she know the tables by heart from 2 to 19 first of all this was to be done in the initial stages.
You are at fault she is not the base of the pupil seems to be week in mathematics never mind develop her interest in solving the mathematical problems as much as she can other than the exercise.
I think this will surely help her.

Hi,
this is a common problem faced by many children and you need not worry.
I see that your daughter has a problem with visualising the nos and the quantity.
there are a few ways in which you can help your daughter.
1. may be she has always associated nos as digits and not with any objects or anything.
2. Try helping her with some beads or any objects to calculate.
I am sure this will help her. We will see her progress and decide what is to be done further.

even i have the same problem and i carry a calculator in my pocket and solve the problem.this is a problem from birth and many children has this problem,your consern should be how this problem cant effect her life and studys,i left my education in between because i could not fase the pressure in collage and home.put her in some course that wont make her feel pressuraized.i suffered a lot because people did not support me.even i am good in writing and drawing and arts.its natural and should be excepted with love.

Ask her to do meditation for an hour daily. In two to three months her condition should start improving and in two years, she should get atleast 90% relief.

only because of the fact ur daughter would not bathe primary would not recommend her heads tangled up possibly if u spent greater time discussing the subject together with her and not the entire family participants u might get someplace

best way is to teach her maths in different way. dont send her to tuition. send her to person who knows maths well may be he or she working or send her to andhra teacher . because AP is having highest maths sylobus in India. and choose the teacher who teach maths practically.
