Will it all change in 2012 with a technological darkage, or will it be changes in the earth's magnetic field? Or will the end come in 2036 by meteor? What will get the human race in the end...is it a holocaust, or the earth breathing clean air?

I guess I don't know...but I will go out shooting one way or another. The cockroaches will succeed, of that we can be sure, as for us...cancer increase, calamity due to resources, race/nation wars, climate change...etc.
The end may be nigh, but I will join with the Morlak and become a bastard...madmax sort.
My boat will stay afloat- even if IT reigns!!!!!

Well from what I have studied.....Mayans ( and 20 some other cultures) all point at 2012 and say " great time of change ". Man as taken that as great destruction, but it doesn't say that.
If you know of the NWO and the entire picture of all that, I believe they are using the date as another scare/fear tactic and to get things they want done, out of that fear.
We have no clue what will happen, but we do know we, the earth has been here at this coming point before. And I hate to say it but I sure don't find any great papers or stone tablets talking about a great item happening to man. But I do find a ton of information on how many civilizations have just vanished or fell into the ocean, so it makes me wonder.
Scary part I think is....not what will happen...but what will happen when all the ice has melted. For one, a ton of the land we know and inhabit will be gone. So you are talking billions being displaced and moved. Now you have to build entire new cities, towns, roads to handle it all. And when all that fresh water gets mixed into the ocean system, what is that gonna do to the climate all over.

I believe our own ignorance and shortsightedness will be our downfall. We don't have a good track record on that sort of thing, and I think we're far too late to do anything but stave off whatever eventual environmental calamity will claim us in the end.
Right now, sheets of ice are breaking off from the poles, species are disappearing in multitudes, and we have trees growing in the Arctic Circle because it's now warm enough for them to grow up there, an event never before recorded or witnessed in human history.
It's amazing what greed and selfishness can do. If we are eventually the instrument of our own demise, I wouldn't be surprised, and I'm pretty sure the Earth, as a biosphere, would be better off without us.

It won't be a magical disaster or series of disasters. If an end comes to the human race, it will likely be in the form of something much less abrupt and melodramatic than mountains of fire falling from the sky and seas boiling. A pandemic, possibly, or a significant environmental change that we might not be able to adapt to. Or, as scientists have been warning for decades now, as a final disasterous result of global warming.
