Hahahah this is the class I'm taking right now.

In the 20's advertising was all about abundance because they were prosperous times.
That went down in the 30's when a more demure type of advertising was preferred because of the depression. Consumers here did not like the excess of the 20's.
In the 40's war was reflected in advertisements.
The 50's there was a huge change in consumer attitude toward advertising, consumers thought that they were being manipulated by the government, and they paid less attention to marketing. Here "science" was coveted and popular, and anything claiming "science" was automatically validated by consumers.
60's was a time of liberation, therefore advertising revolutionized, and targeted the "smart" consumer.
In the present time, obviously "science" is no longer automatically validated, consumers want practical answers to questions. We see a more diverse type of advertising in our day.

I hope this helps!!

The marketing concept and philosophy is one of the simplest ideas in marketing, and at the same time, it is also one of the most important marketing philosophies. At its very core are the customer and his or her satisfaction. The marketing concept and philosophy states that the organization should strive to satisfy its customers' wants and needs while meeting the organization's goals. In simple terms, "the customer is king".
The implication of the marketing concept is very important for management. It is not something that the marketing department administers, nor is it the sole domain of the marketing department. Rather, it is adopted by the entire organization. From top management to the lowest levels and across all departments of the organization, it is a philosophy or way of doing business. The customers' needs, wants, and satisfaction should always be foremost in every manager and employees' mind.

yes of course like other fields, markting has also many changes over time. First there was the production concept
ans it came the product concept. After some years product concept goes down and the selling concept comes up.but now at this time we are in the world of marketing myopia .the selling concept has also been changed to marketing i-e developing long run relationships with your customer.as selling concept fails because it emphasizes on profit maximizing without taking care of your customer preferences, his liking and disliking.so now it has changed all and it is now the world of marketing(developing big trust and catching your customer)Thanks by Zeeshan G
